FIRE OPS SA Uses a Combination of Conventional and Unconventional Vehicles
The unconventional vehicles are smaller, easily maneuverable, lighter, and therefore respond a lot faster than the conventional fire vehicle which is why these vehicles are used as part of ourfirst response strategy.
These vehicles carry a lot less water and although smaller and more compact with an ultra high-pressure pump, and world-class technology, our crew is able to use less water to do the same job you’d expect from a larger vehicle.
Water is replenished from a normal garden hose or a swimming pool where necessary, conventional hydrants are useful too, we have therefore developed a way of working without utilising municipal services.
