OPERATION
- On-duty Firefighters are physically based on site during shift and immediately respond to the fire call with an operational vehicle.
- The number of responding vehicles are determined by the dispatching Officer.
- Vehicles patrol their assigned area and the surrounding region of the Patch.
- Emergency calls and first response app notifications from subscribed members are received by the centralised watchroom known as the GCC and monitored by Officers via live radio communications.
- There is a 60 second response time, from first notification to crew dispatch (90 seconds at night)
- Monitored stats show that the dispatched crew book in attendance to extinguish the fire within 10 – 12 minutes of receiving the first fire report.
- Communication is conducted in real-time via direct radio connections and cloud-integrated network lines, providing immediate access to all managing Officers and Chiefs.
- Response vehicles and fire equipment are kept on-site at the designated Patch, serving clients in the surrounding area.
