No injuries were reported following a rapid response from local emergency teams.
A potentially tragic incident was averted at about 04:47 this morning, February 5, when a fire broke out at a residential complex in Weltevreden Park.
According to Beagle Watchโs general manager of operations, Frikkie Nel, officers responded immediately after the fire was reported and found the blaze to be aggressive on arrival.
โResidents were awakened by the smell of smoke and evacuated the building safely,โ Nel said.
Beagle Watchโs professional firefighting partners, FIRE OPS SA, were swiftly dispatched to the scene, he added.
With multiple vehicles and operational teams on site, the fire was successfully brought under control. No injuries were reported, and all occupants were confirmed to be safe.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage.
