Operational FLEET

FIRE OPS SA operates a fleet of 27 vehicles – this includes large pumpers, water tankers, RIV’s (rapid intervention vehicles) and response motorcycles – all of which have been strategically positioned within our service area.

To ensure optimal response, when allocating vehicles to Patches we consider various factors based on our client needs, such as geographic layout and terrain.

FIRE OPS SA Uses a Combination of Conventional and Unconventional Vehicles

Our unconventional vehicles are smaller, lighter, and highly maneuverable, allowing for much faster response times compared to traditional fire trucks. This makes them a key part of our first response strategy.

Although these vehicles carry less water, their compact design, ultra-high-pressure pump, and advanced technology enable our crew to achieve the same results as larger vehicles while using significantly less water.

Water can be replenished from a standard garden hose, a swimming pool if needed, or conventional hydrants. This approach allows us to operate independently without relying on municipal services.
