Fire operations including the City of Johannesburg,  Emergency Services (EMS), EGM, ER24 and private security teams, contained a fire which broke out around 8:50am, at Knights Preparatory School, in Randburg.

Leanne Swart, Chief Commercial Officer at the School, said the fire began in the school hall, and learners and personnel were evacuated.

Swart also thanked neighbours to the school for providing water and firefighters for arriving to the scene on time.

Parents of learners were also called to fetch them earlier than normal pick up time.

“We are thankful to have seen all of God’s fingerprints, favour and protection in this difficult situation.”
