Structural fire in the Houghton area extinguished
At 15h28 today, our watch room received a call reporting a structural fire in the Houghton area.
By 15h38 our first vehicle was booked in attendance, with our engine and support vehicles arriving moments later.
The fire involved a single-storey house fully engulfed. Crews donned SCBA’s and initiated an aggressive attack using a UHP line. Within 30 minutes, the roof had collapsed.
At 16h41, fire stop was declared and crews began overhaul operations.
